Details On These Wines

2014 Family Cuvee Pinot Noir:
2014 was a milestone year for us. This was the first harvest for our new winery located on the estate vineyard. Ideal weather throughout the majority of the growing season provided us with exceptional, balanced fruit. Opens with aromas of blackberry and rose petals, with soft, black cherry and hints of nutmeg on the palette and a smooth lingering finish. 91 Points Wine Spectator.

2015 Edward Pinot Noir:
Our goal with the Edward blend was to find our best representation of classically-styled Oregon Pinot noir. This wine shows robust cherry and raspberry notes, with savory undertones supported by refined tannins. 92 Points Wine Spectator

2016 Estate Pinot Noir:
A true reflection of Bjornson Vineyard, the 2016 Estate opens with perfume of pot pourri and sweet cherries. A rich round mouth feel, black cherry, a hint of spice with just the right amount of tannin and structure for a long, lingering finish.

“Some very attractive, fresh red fruit as well as a gently herbal, leafy edge, leading to a palate that has a very fresh, juicy and succulent cherry and chocolate finish. Noble tanning structure here. Drink or hold.” James Suckling – 93 points

2017 Havlin Pinot Noir:
Red raspberries and cherries, notes of walnuts, pepper and cedar on the finish. Bright acidity, linen tannins and great structure reflect the influence of wind, sun and earth at Havlin Vineyard in the VanDuzer Corridor AVA. Drink now through 2030 – pairs well with pork roast.

2018 Viola Auxerriois:
This crisp white wine opens with fragrances of spring orange blossoms. Bright grapefruit and lemon curd dance across the palate leading to a lively finish with hints of honeydew melon and nutty notes that round out the experience. Drink now though 2021. Viola pairs well with scallops, oysters and grilled vegetables.

Auxerrois, pronounced aus ser whah, is a “sister” grape of Chardonnay and grown primarily in Alsace, Germany, and Luxembourg. This wine honors Pattie’s grandmother, Viola, a strong German-American who raised five children while her husband Edward served in WWII, survived polio, and always said goodbye with firm bear hug chuckling, “I love you so much, I could squeeeeeze you to pieces.”

2018 Argenta Rosé:
Don’t let that pale color fool you. This rosé opens with aromas of fresh strawberries, and delivers a bright, fruity concentrated palate with a racy finish that leaves you wanting more! Drink now through 2022, pairs well with summer bar-b-que – grilled meats and chicken.

This wine honors Mark’s Great Niece, Argenta Rose, born in 2016 as we were picking the first vintage of rosé. Argenta doesn’t sit around long for a photo, and this wine won’t be on the shelves long either!
