At Bjornson Vineyard our priorities are simple: care for the land, make exceptional wine, and enjoy life’s journey. We support these goals by employing Certified Sustainable farming practices that support ecological balance in our vineyard, surrounding creeks, and ultimately our wine. A wind turbine supplies our electricity.
Exceptional wine begins in our vineyard, with elevations ranging from 450-550′ and soils from the Jory-Nekia series. The grapes for this wine come from Kristjan’s and Hunter’s blocks, situated on Southwest slopes, and planted with Pommard, Dijon-777, and Wadenswil clones of Pinot Noir. In 2011, the grapes were harvested on October 28, and the wine was aged for 16 months in French Oak before bottling.
Our label art “Fire and Ice” represents our Icelandic heritage, as well as the magnificent volcanic and glacial forces that created the soils of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. We invite you to visit Bjornson Vineyard and enjoy the fruit of our life’s journey.
